Good news, woke up and foot was better! The human body (with a little help) is quite an incredible thing sometimes. Could hardly walk at the end of my journey yesterday and this morning all was fine (had taken and applied anti-inflammatories a few times in between), false alarm so great, happy.

It got hot very quickly today with not much breeze so struggled a little and managed 23km, it means I need to cover more tomorrow but at least it should be a little cooler.
Hot and bothered, I luckily noticed people swimming in a lake, a brilliant idea. I’ve ended up hanging out here most of the afternoon, trying to stay out of the sun. It’s the local swimming lake so it’s been really nice just watching families hang out together, mainly children with their parents and grandparents but lovely to just sit and observe. Lake was lovely and cool and strangely, salty.
In other news, it’s my first night properly camping. So, I’ve so far managed to successfully cook pasta on my stove (the one I bought in the sailing shop) so feeling pretty pleased with myself, it’s exactly haute cuisine but will certainly do.
Let’s see how well (or not) I do…
