Eutin to Preetz – 31km
25C
Terrain: cycle paths and quiet roads
Legs could really feel it today right from the get go and especially on those hills. If only I could transport Barbara Brunner over from @energylabb for a proper sports massage, I would!
Wednesday is market day so started the day with the early morning market goers. Love the market culture in Europe, the everyday shop with beautiful fresh produce, clothes, flowers etc. No internet shopping, instead, lots of chat and advice, perfect.
Following the market, I seem to have landed in horse country, lots around and then the obvious tell-tale signs on all of the cycle paths, nice. Bob had to do a lot of dodging!
Kind of fell for this little chap
Then hundreds of birds all at once
Also came across this house, on a normal residential street, how cool is the roof! Properly alive.
My legs were definitely happy to arrive in Preetz, a lovely little place.
I seem to be remarkably lucky with the places I’m ending up at the moment, no doubt things will change when I get away from coast and there are more small villages but definitely making the most of it for now.
To get an idea (bunting and all)
Also very happy to get back to my ice creams, even found my favourite mint today, yay!
More beautiful lakes along the way and Preetz has a lovely one of its own. Whiled the time away just watching and taking pics, so relaxing.

Swimming on air
One of the things I love at the moment is the uninterrupted view of everything. No tall buildings, window panes or even cars most of the time. It’s like life in panorama permanently with beautiful pure colours.
On my way to Kiel tomorrow, a much shorter day, my legs will be grateful as will Bob.
Finally, this made me smile.

I am relaxing in Thailand at the moment….and pleased with myself that I am ‘managing’ a run every day (ish)…..a massive 5km. Then I drop back in on your blog….averaging over 30km a day. Whow!! You go girl. Well done and keep at it. You can do it.
Justin
P.S. Sounds like you need a good thai massage….although perhaps not – I had one over here and it made me 2 inches taller for a few hours and then I couldn’t move the next day!
Justin,
Thanks so much for the message. Just finished stage 1, about 540km so I’m having a few of days off with family. It’s been an incredible journey and experience so far. Thanks so much for the support and enjoy Thailand! (only a little jealous).
