Another chilly start but yet again, the light in the morning was simply a treat. I leave when it’s light but the sun hasn’t yet come up and because the weather has been so lovely, I just get to watch it rise. Amazing.

For the most part today, I was surrounded by vineyards, a beautiful sight. I am now officially in the Vins de Bordeaux area and more specifically in Blaye, Cotes de Bordeaux.

Looking forward to tomorrow as I’m heading towards the Bordeaux appellations that I’m more familiar with and I’m told I should see some magnificent chateaux.
