Exciting day! A few weeks ago I posted that I had been featured by voltwomen, a movement to elevate women’s running and be inspired.
Every Tuesday there is a #voltwomen #takeover on their tumblr page and on instragram where an individual is featured with their story and what inspires them to run.
Well today, it was me! They posted an interview with me (first ever, exciting!), check it out here: http://voltwomen.tumblr.com/ or visit their instagram: http://i.instagram.com/voltwomen.
It’s been really amazing receiving lovely comments from people and I just feel completely honoured and humbled to be part of this movement to elevate women’s running and inspire. Thank you voltwomen for the amazing support!
I’m doing a couple of shorter distance days (including tomorrow) before some rest. Going to try to get a couple of body/health issues looked at and recharge my batteries a little, mentally and physically.
I also need to find a way of getting a more detailed map of Spain onto my phone! I seem to be hitting dead ends or roads not even appearing. I took a couple of risks today, moving away from my planned route to less busy roads that didn’t appear on my map at all! I only spotted them thanks to some cyclists that I happened to see.
No dead ends today (yay!) and these quieter roads provided a nice relaxing experience, moving through lots of orchards. There seems to be a lot more smallholder farms and agriculture here than I’ve seen in most of the places I’ve been through. Human beings out picking their fruit (rather than machines). It’s really nice to see although no doubt, very hard work!
Today’s route…
Lots of oranges
Back on the famous N-340 for a while but not for long thanks to my discovery…
Final stretch.
This place is a serious concrete jungle, plus everything was closed, not my favourite place!
Wow this is amazing. So so proud of you my lovely. Love you so much. Mum xxxx
